Site Operations Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Site Operations Manager to lead a small industrial dismantling and processing facility at the Port of Cádiz. This role requires a practical, self-sufficient professional who can independently manage daily operations while actively supporting on-site activities when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and operate the facility with a strong hands-on approach
• Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and continuity
• Resolve operational challenges independently and proactively
• Take full ownership of site activities, including administration, coordination with service providers, workforce supervision, and contractor management
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards, including proper material tracking and reporting
• Manage all on-site administrative tasks not covered by headquarters or external providers
• Build and maintain relationships with customers (buyers of materials such as copper, steel, and plastics), suppliers, service providers, and local authorities including the Port Authority and Zona Franca Cádiz

Profile & Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial operations, ideally in recycling or processing plants
• Strong hands-on mindset with the ability to step into operational tasks when required
• Proven ability to run a facility autonomously within a lean team environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and a high level of ownership and accountability
• Basic knowledge of business management, accounting, HR, and environmental/regulatory requirements

Education

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Strong practical experience will be considered as an alternative
