Great to be back in London for Submarine Networks EMEA 2026, where OEC was proud to participate as a Bronze Sponsor.
Represented by Jayne Stowell, Horst Brockmueller, Arne De Jong, Quynh D Nguyen and Mathilde Ribes on site, it was a busy and engaging week, starting with the Ciena Masterclass which provided valuable insights into the evolution of subsea networks.
OEC was also pleased to contribute to the conference programme:
– Horst Brockmueller joined the panel “Repair and re-deploy: evaluating the pros and cons of extending the lifespan of subsea cables”, alongside Mattias Fridström, Jens O. Frorud, Steve Boyd and Iain Ritson, sharing perspectives on the environmental and regulatory challenges of cable removal, recycling opportunities, and how reuse strategies can support more circular and sustainable subsea lifecycle models.
– Jayne Stowell took part in the Sustainability panel, contributing to discussions on industry progress, best practices and the actions needed to drive meaningful environmental impact.
It was great to see such strong engagement across the industry on key topics including sustainability, resilience and the long-term evolution of subsea infrastructure.
We were also delighted to host our annual OEC Subsea Soirée. Thank you to everyone who joined and helped make it such an enjoyable moment to reconnect.
A big thank you as well to Total Telecom for organising the SubNets EMEA and to everyone we met over the week. We look forward to continuing the conversation!
