OEC was glad to attend the ICPC | International Cable Protection Committee Plenary this week in the historic city of Athens.

Represented by Jayne Stowell, Horst Brockmueller, and Mathilde Ribes, our team spent three productive days focused on this yearโ€™s vital theme: “Collaboration to Protect Global Connectivity”. It was a valuable opportunity to engage in deep-dive sessions regarding the security, legal, and environmental frameworks that safeguard our world’s subsea infrastructure.

Beyond the technical sessions, it was a pleasure to reconnect with long-time friends and meet new industry peers during the evening gatherings and breakout sessions. Building these personal connections is what makes our community so strong and collaborative.

A big thank you to the ICPC for organizing such an impactful event. We look forward to continuing the conversations and seeing our industry colleagues again at the next Plenary in 2027!
